The doors are officially open at VIDA NW Portland, our third coworking community, inside the historic Montgomery Park building in Slabtown as of October 5, 2026.
When I first envisioned what I wanted for VIDA back in 2018, I knew the space mattered (and had to be beautiful and functional!), but I also knew the space wasn’t the whole story… What makes a VIDA location feel like home is the person who learns your name on day one, remembers that your big pitch was Tuesday, and asks how it went. That’s why I’m so happy to introduce the person who will be doing exactly that at our new location in NW Portland.

We are thrilled to welcome Annilee Durfey Hyre as Community Director of VIDA NW Portland. If you stop by Montgomery Park, she’ll be the warm face at the front desk, the one who gives your tour, gets your guests settled, and makes sure the coffee is always on.
From Wheat Fields to Montgomery Park
Annilee is a native Oregonian who grew up in a small farming town in north-central Oregon, the kind of place where the wheat fields stretch to the horizon and neighbors show up for each other. Her career has spanned graphic design, program coordination, and digital media management, and the common thread through all of it is the part she loves most: bringing people, ideas, and projects together.
She’s dedicated to creating spaces that are warm, welcoming, and actually work well (which, if you’ve ever tried to get real work done in a coffee shop with zero outlets, you know is a rarer combination than it should be).
Why Annilee Is the Right Fit for VIDA NW Portland
Opening a new location comes with a hundred small decisions in the first month: where the welcome signs go, how a first-time guest finds the conference room, who should meet whom at the next community lunch. Annilee brings a designer’s eye, a coordinator’s follow-through, and a genuinely people-first heart to every one of them, so our NW Portland members can feel at home from their very first day.
When she’s not welcoming members, you’ll find Annilee spending time with her family, capturing life through her camera, or enjoying her morning coffee in the backyard.
