Meet #TeamVIDA

Melanie Marconi

Founder & CEO
VIDA Coworking

Melanie is a longtime entrepreneur with a passion for helping people reach their personal and professional goals. As a working single mom, Melanie searched for innovative, impactful ways to get the most out of each day – and VIDA stemmed from her desire to bring those same opportunities to others.

An accidental entrepreneur at age 23, Melanie was a co-founder of BDI Events, Where Will They Stay? and The Modern Concierge before launching VIDA in 2019.

Melanie holds a B.S. degree in Journalism and Communication from the University of Oregon and has long been active in the nonprofit community. She currently serves as Chair of Board of Directors for Xcelerate Women, an organization dedicated to supporting growth-focused women entrepreneurs.

Kaitlyn McConnell

Community Director
VIDA Portland

Kaitlyn is a native of the Pacific Northwest and has had a long and varied career up and down the West Coast. From her roots in the entertainment and music industries to serving as Executive Assistant to leading entrepreneurs, Kaitlyn’s passion lies within helping others to achieve their visions and get things done.

Kaitlyn joined the VIDA team with the opening of VIDA Coworking, and currently serves as Community Director for the Portland location, and as the lead of the VIDA Business Services Team, working on a range of administrative projects.

She is an artist, an actor, a mom and loves traveling and connecting with family and friends.

Katie Morales

Community Director
VIDA Beaverton

Katie loves helping people experience connection with themselves, with others, and with the world around them. She came to us along a winding path in which she pursued seemingly unrelated degrees and certifications (Anthropology! Myers-Briggs! Spiritual Formation! Spiritual Direction!) and a variety of career settings (Kids camp! Coffee shop! Retirement communities! Private school!). But even with all these twists and turns, she’s been able to focus her work and energy on the things she loves most.

Katie’s a sucker for a good story and is constantly on the hunt for stories that sweep her off her feet and take her breath away, whether it’s in a novel, a picture book, a quirky indie film, or even stand-up comedy. Got a story to share? Katie is all ears!

Maddie Ford

Community Support Associate
VIDA Portland

Maddie is a potter and ceramics instructor born and raised in Portland, Oregon. She joins the VIDA team through an unconventional career path starting in clinical research and ending in clay.  Passionate about growing connected communities and solving problems she loves helping others discover what brings them joy, finding playful solutions, and nurturing creative environments for growth.

When Maddie is not working she enjoys growing tomatoes, going for long runs, trying new pizza spots and yapping about astrology, book recommendations and anything real housewives related.

“The community here at VIDA is so special.  I am constantly inspired by our members and I love connecting and listening and being surrounded by such an amazing group of people. I am a more motivated and passionate person as a direct result of all the people I come into contact with at VIDA.  My little introverted heart has expanded so much since becoming a part of this space.” ~Kaitlyn M.
