What the latest data from Yardi Research tells us about the future of flexible workspace and coworking in Portland and Beaverton
At VIDA Coworking, we’re always keeping an eye on what’s happening in the flexible workspace industry—not just because it’s our business, but because it helps us serve our members better.
The latest Q4 2025 National Coworking Report from Yardi Research (published via CoworkingCafe) is packed with insights about the Portland coworking market, and we wanted to break it down for our community.
Whether you’re a freelancer exploring coworking for the first time, a remote professional looking for a productive space outside the home, or a small business owner weighing your workspace options, these numbers paint a compelling picture of where Portland’s coworking scene is headed.
The Big Picture: Coworking Continues to Grow in Portland
Portland’s coworking market is expanding. According to the Yardi Research Q4 2025 report, the number of coworking spaces in the Portland metro area grew 4% quarter-over-quarter, rising from 67 to 70 locations. Total coworking square footage also increased by 3%, climbing from 1.07 million to 1.11 million square feet.
Interestingly, the average square footage per location dipped slightly (down 1% to 15,805 sq. ft.), which suggests the new spaces entering the market tend to be smaller, more community-focused operations—much like VIDA. This aligns with a broader national trend that Peter Kolaczynski, Director at Yardi Research, highlighted in the report:
“The theme coming out of Covid was operators bringing the office to the employee, with expansions in secondary and suburban markets to meet domestic migration trends. The theme looking forward seems to be where can operators and office building owners meet the needs of corporate occupiers that are committed to growing coworking and flexible footprints.” — Peter Kolaczynski, Director, Yardi Research
This is exactly what we’ve seen in Portland and Beaverton. Professionals want flexible options close to where they live, and coworking spaces that understand the unique needs of their communities are thriving.

Portland Coworking Pricing: How We Compare Nationally
One of the most useful parts of the Yardi report is the pricing breakdown. Here’s how Portland’s median coworking prices stacked up against national figures at the end of Q4 2025:

| Virtual Offices | $195/mo | $159/mo | $45- $95/mo + |
| Meeting Rooms | $45/hr | $45/hr | $35-$45/hour |
| Day Passes | $35/day | $30/day | $35/day |
| Open Memberships | $235/mo | $220/mo | $130 – $300/mo |

Portland’s coworking prices run slightly above the national median across most categories, which reflects the city’s strong demand for flexible workspace and the quality of offerings available here. Meeting room pricing is right in line with national rates, making Portland a competitive option for teams and businesses that need professional meeting space on demand.
What This Means for Portland’s Remote Workers and Small Businesses
