What About Our Virtual Mailbox Service?
Our Virtual Mailbox service is perfect for receiving mail and packages, but it does not qualify as a principal place of business under Oregon law. Virtual mailbox services fall under the category of “commercial mail receiving agencies,” which Oregon specifically excludes.
However, if you have a Virtual Mailbox and an active full-time coworking membership here at VIDA, then you could use our Portland or Beaverton address for both mail services and as your principal place of business.
Google My Business Listings: Requirements for Coworking Spaces

- To be able to receive customers/clients at VIDA during those hours
All Other Membership Types: Unfortunately, Dedicated Desk, OPEN Flex and PT Flex coworking members and virtual mailbox users do not meet Google’s requirements for a Business Profile. Google requires that dedicated, permanent space with visible signage—which essentially means a private office.
This isn’t a VIDA policy—it’s Google’s requirement for coworking spaces. Many coworking members have tried to create Business Profiles only to have them suspended by Google when they can’t verify the signage and dedicated space requirements.
