Here’s what you can look forward to in the coworking industry this year.

New year, new coworking trends!
Post-COVID, coworking spaces continue to grow at an incredible rate, showing that employees and entrepreneurs demand flexible work environments outside their corporate offices and homes. With the rise of coworking spaces come the inevitable trends that shape them as well as make them rewarding work experiences.
As VIDA Coworking looks forward to the new year, we’re excited about these coworking trends of 2023:
1. Community-Building Opportunities
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, many remote workers felt siloed and cut off from their office communities — and can no longer stand to work at their kitchen tables or in their basements. Coworking spaces bring back the community feeling by providing member events and water cooler conversations. Both of which are social interactions we’ve learned people crave again.
VIDA offers an abundance of community-building opportunities, such as our monthly community lunches, happy hours and lecture series, all featuring opportunities for Members to connect and network. Plus, our coworking space also has a Slack Channel, weekly newsletter and several communal areas for taking a break and catching up with others.
2. Focus on the Member Experience
A room with desks and conference rooms is no longer sufficient for coworking space members. They desire an elevated experience that adds value to their life and work. As we get deeper into 2023, coworking spaces will focus on a higher-caliber member experience that shows the organization cares about their well-being.
At VIDA, you can expect a friendly and effective front desk team that goes above and beyond to be sure that our Members are both welcomed, supported and connected to each other.
3. Increase in Private Offices
Many traditional coworking spaces provided shared desks in an open, communal space. As coworking spaces continue to grow, so are their members’ needs. To keep up, many coworking spaces are expected to offer more private offices this year.
VIDA Coworking has several types of offices and rental options to accommodate a wide range of workers’ preferences. As a whole, we have open/flex space, dedicated desks, private offices for part- or full-time needs, and multi-person private offices that are perfect for teams.
4. Access to Unique Amenities & Services
The OG coworking spaces focused on providing the basics: desks, meeting rooms and a coffee bar. Today, coworking spaces are going above and beyond those standard offerings to provide unique services that ensure workers have everything they need for a healthy and productive work-life balance within the building.
For instance, VIDA Coworking offers amenities and services to give our Members an unparalleled experience. We provide everything they need for a well-rounded work-life balance, from productivity- to health-focused opportunities. VIDA has several office options, ergonomic chairs, a podcast studio, multiple meeting rooms, beverage services, healthy snacks, a fitness studio, monthly wellness providers and support for families, including a kid-friendly environment.
5. The Addition of Automated Processes
Many coworking spaces still have analog processes, including scheduling and billing systems. As we head into 2023, coworking members are interested in spaces that offer automated processes to digitally and quickly meet their needs.
VIDA Coworking uses Proximity to allow members to automatically pay for their membership online through a computer or smart phone. Members can also book conference room timeslots, see upcoming events, flip through the Member Roster and review VIDA Cafe charges — all through their accounts at members.vidacoworking.com.
