Get Ready for VIDA’s Summer Camp!

Life as we’ve known it for the past year is officially on the upswing for ourselves and our kids. Vaccines are being delivered to the masses, and in-person socializing is imminent. With that amazing news in mind, VIDA Coworking is pleased to announce our first-ever kids’ summer camp! Portland locals – whether you’re a VIDA Member or not – can all benefit from this exciting (and fun!) program.

There’s no question all summer day camps in Portland, Oregon, will look different this year. VIDA’s is no exception. Our number one priority is health and safety. VIDA specially designed our COVID-19 precautions to protect the children, their families and our staff.

Our second priority is giving kids an action-packed, social and educational program they can’t wait to attend every day. Never before has this been more important after the past year’s social isolation and limitation.

Our goal is to spark the imagination and creativity of kids, so they have a summer they’ll forever remember. Plus, we want to take some of the burdens off you as a parent. 24/7 homeschooling and home entertainment is a challenge and a burden (#realtalk). VIDA Coworking’s Portland Summer Camp for Kids is here to help carry the weight!

About VIDA’s Summer Day Camp

Every week, kids ages six to 10 will focus on daily hands-on projects, along with plenty of outside time, all set in a safe space to create peer connections. To keep brains sharp for the upcoming school year, our curriculum incorporates science, technology, engineering, visual arts and math into everyday projects. We want to help foster a love of learning through the freedom of experimentation.

The Schedule

VIDA’s Summer Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9:00am – 3:00pm. Here’s a look at the daily schedule:

  • 9:00 – 9:15: Drop-Off
  • 9:15 – 10:30: Free Play + Snack
  • 10:30-11:30: Project Time or Outdoor Time
  • 11:30 – 12:00: Lunch
  • 12:00-12:45: Small Projects
  • 1:00-2:45: Themed Activity + Outdoor Play 
  • 2:45- 3:00: Clean Up + Pick-Up

The Location

The program’s home base is VIDA SCHOOL at VIDA Coworking (401 NE 19th Ave, #200, Portland, OR). The kids will spend most of their outdoor playtime at Buckman Park & Field.

The Cost

The cost of VIDA’s Summer Camp in Portland, OR, is $225/week/child. Choose week-by-week enrollment (subject to availability) or select the entire summer session for a 10% discount. VIDA Members receive a 15% discount.

By enrolling your child into our program, all parents can also make use of VIDA’s workspace! Feel free to get some work done in our Main Coworking Space during camp hours.
