We’re commemorating the vision and passion that turned VIDA into a thriving community for remote workers and entrepreneurs.

This summer marks two exciting milestones for VIDA Coworking! It’s been six years since opening the doors of VIDA Portland workspace on July 1, 2019, and two years since expanding to VIDA Beaverton on August 15, 2023. What started as a bold idea by our beloved founder and CEO Melanie Marconi has blossomed into a vibrant, mission-driven coworking community built on perseverance, passion and people.

And like so many small businesses out there, our journey wasn’t a smooth one. Opening VIDA Portland just months before the pandemic hit, testing the limits of our small business aspirations. But, thankfully, Melanie’s vision for a supportive space that empowers remote workers, freelancers and entrepreneurs remained steadfast. Today, VIDA isn’t just surviving—it’s thriving, with 350+ active Members and counting.

VIDA’s growth reflects a powerful shift in how people work. Our Members—from designers and marketers to coaches, therapists, and tech professionals—aren’t just looking for a desk. They come for the focus, stay for the connection and thrive in the sense of belonging.

With the opening of VIDA Beaverton in 2023, the vision expanded west—bringing the VIDA Coworking experience to a new part of the Portland metro area. The Beaverton location continues to build momentum, offering the same thoughtful amenities, curated design and culture of collaboration that make us so special.
